pub enum Residency {
Mapped,
Prefaulted,
Heap,
}Expand description
Where the arrays of an index opened with VGraph::open live.
Variants§
Mapped
The file is mapped read-only. open reads the neighbour lists and id maps, which it
checks; the codes are read on their first touch. Read pages count as file-backed
resident memory, which the kernel may reclaim under pressure and read again.
Prefaulted
As Residency::Mapped, with every page touched before open returns, so no query
pays a page fault.
Heap
The file is read into memory the index owns (anonymous memory).
